Job Title: Order Screener / Department Administrative Support

Location: Onsite - San Diego, CA 92127

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Pay Range: $19-$21/hour, depending on experience

Assignment Type: Temporary, with potential to convert to full-time based on performance and business needs


Overview

The Order Screener/Department Administrative Support role is responsible for accurately receiving, reviewing, and screening incoming orders for the Mitchell1 Order Processing Department. This position ensures all submitted order information is complete, accurate, and compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards. The role also provides a variety of administrative support functions to ensure smooth department operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, open, date-stamp, and review incoming orders, purchase orders, license agreements, and related correspondence.
  • Screen and validate order information for accuracy, including pricing, account details, and compliance requirements.
  • Assign account numbers, verify shipping information, and confirm pricing against the internal price guide.
  • Set up new customer accounts in CIS and establish Direct Debit when applicable.
  • Prepare completed and validated orders for the Order Processor.
  • Assist with peripheral departmental tasks such as:
    • Receiving and counting daily orders
    • Managing departmental archives
    • Maintaining the department's CIM queue
    • Processing incoming departmental correspondence
  • Support the Order Processing Manager and department lead with special projects as needed.
  • Perform other assigned duties to support department operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of general office experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make quick decisions and interact professionally with all levels of personnel
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all work tasks
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Working Conditions

  • Onsite office environment (San Diego - 92127)
  • Standard business hours, Monday-Friday
